Access Alliance, a UK independent association of powered access sales and rental firms, has awarded ‘Approved Supplier’ status to Sterling GP Ltd, for its range of Rigid Access delivery bodies.

The Agreement was confirmed at the Access Alliance quarterly meeting held at the Belfry, Sutton Coldfield on 21st September. The alliance comprises of 18 independently owned companies and are based in 45 different locations across the UK.

Tony Crawford, Chairman of the Access Alliance confirmed that ‘We’re delighted that Sterling GP has put themselves in a position to be accredited with supplier status to the Access Alliance. Many members including myself have enjoyed a top quality service from them over the last couple of years. Sterling GP has recently moved in to new premises which will give them the opportunity to expand and develop their product range further.

The Access Alliance holds a combined fleet of more than 11,000 Machines and the majority of these are transported by Rigid Delivery Vehicles.  Sterling GP Ltd is the UK’s largest supplier of Access and Plant delivery bodies and manufactures excess of 160 rigid bodies annually. The beavertail body manufacturer is known for its distinctive customer service and innovative designs.

Jarl James, Sales Manager of Sterling commented ‘We have already supplied 7 of the Access Alliance members with our beavertail bodies.  It’s great that we now have the approved status to supply all 18 members.  Our products and service was given positive feedback but we were also given helpful constructive suggestions for improvements.  Furthermore, being an approved supplier will help the partnership prosper and thrive going forward.’

Representing the Access Alliance, Shirley Webb added that ‘the Access Alliance have awarded Sterling GP with the approved supplier status based on the feedback of members, looking at both the performance of their products and the standard of the aftersales support and service’.  She noted ‘Getting our Access solutions to our customers safely and on time is of prime importance to us, so the members and I are delighted to have Sterling on board, and we look forward to working closely with them in the future’.
