Leyland Trucks is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted in the Partnership with Education category for The Manufacturer MX Awards (TMMX Awards) 2016.

As a shortlisted finalist Leyland Trucks will now receive a site visit assessment, where judges will witness the company’s processes in action and carefully evaluate their findings against the criteria.

Speaking of the nomination, Ivan Shearer, HR Director, Leyland Trucks said: “We have worked exceptionally hard to foster close relationships with local schools, colleges and universities.  Not only do we want to forge partnerships within our local community, but also to help raise awareness and interest in the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects in a real world environment.”

Winners will be announced at The Manufacturer MX Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner, at The Vox in Birmingham on November 2.

The TMMX Awards are delivered by leading industry publication, The Manufacturer, in association with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The judging panel is made up of more than 30 highly experienced manufacturing experts and the rigorous process involves desk based judging, factory site visits and interviews with the panel.
