As of 1st March 2016 Volvo Used Trucks is offering an unprecedented 24-month manufacturer backed warranty on its Volvo Selected Used Trucks.
Volvo Selected Used Trucks undergo an extensive 200 point check and detailed preparation before receiving the ‘Selected’ stamp of approval, which marks them out as used vehicles of the highest order.
National Sales & Brand Manager at Volvo Used Trucks, Carl White says: “With our Selected Used Trucks we are so confident in the trucks and the rigorous check and preparation process that offering an industry leading manufacturer backed warranty makes perfect sense.
“Our customers expect Volvo to lead the market in terms of products and services. By introducing a 24-month warranty on Volvo Selected Used Trucks and doubling the warranty on our Volvo Approved Used Trucks from 6-months to 12-months we are, I believe, once again driving the market forward and setting a new standard.”
The 24-month warranty on Volvo Selected Used Trucks covers 360,000km of use while for Volvo Approved Used Trucks the mileage limitation has been doubled to 180,000km.
“The Volvo core values of quality, safety and environmental care absolutely carry through to Volvo Used Trucks,” says Carl. “It is thanks to these fundamentals; these guiding principles that we have the confidence in our products to be able to offer our customers such meaningful warranties which, subject to a small premium, can even be extended to cover mainland Europe.”
In both cases, the warranties provide operators with immediate access to Volvo Action Service should there be a breakdown. “At any point within 24-months of purchase a Volvo Selected Used Truck customer will have access to recovery and support covered by the warranty,” explains Carl. “Furthermore, as the warranty is manufacturer-backed there is no limit to the number of call-outs or the value of claims.”
Carl adds that the timing of the new warranties couldn’t be better for those seeking quality used Volvo Trucks. “We are just now seeing the first Euro 6 Volvo Trucks becoming available in the used market,” he says. “The possibility to get such a game-changing truck covered by a warranty offering so much peace of mind is unprecedented.”
