Europa Warehouse has sealed a new £300k contract with Outback Barbecues for its Northampton site.

An existing customer of Europa Warehouse since 2015, Outback has signed a new deal for 2016 which has already seen a 50 per cent year-on-year increase in the volume of orders for Q1.

In 2015, over 1,200 orders were processed by Europa on behalf of Outback, with over 80 per cent of orders being sent in the first half of 2015, ahead of its peak sales season in the spring and summer.

The volume of orders for 2016 is expected to show an increase of 50 per cent to approximately 1800. The Northampton warehouse site employs 40 people and is over 9,000m2 in size.
Outback, a leading UK supplier, was established in 1979 and is based in Hereford. It sells to outlets such as DIY supercentres, garden centres and high street retailers.

Maria Torrent-March, Director of Europa Warehouse, said: “The new contract highlights the successful partnership the company has with Outback.  Demand for barbecues continues to go from strength to strength as the UK’s love of alfresco dining continues. Europa’s collaboration with Outback will see us supply warehouse and logistics services for the business as sales increase. This includes a full logistics solution from a collection of the bonded containers from the shipping port in China (sea-freight imports), warehousing products, customs clearance and finally a delivery to UK distributors, retail outlets or even home deliveries.  2016 is looking to be a very buoyant year for Outback and Europa.”

Mark Osborne, VP Europe at Outback, said: “This new, bigger contract seals our storage and picking and packing needs to serve our customers across the UK network. Thanks to Europa’s services, the accurate timing and delivery of orders will be to the highest standard. Using Europa gives us peace of mind that the delivery into our UK stockists will be handled efficiently and professionally thanks to their proven track record.”
