Long-serving Scania member of staff, Nigel Jones, has been appointed to the position of Regional Executive Director – South West for Scania (Great Britain) Limited. In his new role, Nigel will take responsibility for the overall performance Scania’s 12 branches and two Vehicle Maintenance Units within the region, which stretches from Bicester in Buckinghamshire to Land’s End.
Nigel Jones has worked within the Scania organisation for 20 years, firstly with West Midlands Scania dealer Keltruck, where he spent 11 years in the sales team, followed by nine years with Scania (Great Britain) Limited as Regional Sales Director for the South West. His appointment to the post of Regional Executive Director for the region sees him add responsibility for Scania’s aftersales and supporting activities in the area to his portfolio.
“With 350-plus staff and deliveries of new trucks typically in excess of 600 units per annum, the South West is a key area for Scania in the UK,” says Claes Jacobsson, Managing Director of Scania (Great Britain) Limited. “As an established member of our team in the South West, Nigel is already well known to customers and staff throughout the area. As such, his appointment is a natural progression very much in tune with our policy to promote from within wherever possible.
