Lawrence David are in the process of finishing 10 rigids for truck and trailer hire specialists Gulliver’s. The 15 tonne rigids are being supplied to the DIY and home improvement chain Wickes and come with a number of great features.
The DAF FA LF220 Euro 6 chassis day cabs offer excellent fuel efficiency combined with a reduced turning circle for increased manoeuvrability and an extra reserve in the battery so that frequent tail-lift use doesn’t impact operation. The EN 12642-XL certified bodies feature Armoursheet FASTRAP style curtains with a buckle-less design, combined with a Del Super Loader 1000kg column tail-lift, making loading and un-loading a much quicker process. Behind each curtain you’ll find a set of folding side-access steps that move up and down the length of the body, designed and engineered by Lawrence David, allowing for convenient and easy side access to the vehicle.
The rigids also feature Wisa-Trans slip resistant flooring, 2 steel storage units fitted either side of the vehicle, 8 sets of Strap Safe roof mounted internal load securing straps, 3 sets of interior LED lights and front and rear LD ratchet tensioners.
