SIG, a leading distributor of specialist building products in Europe, will soon be receiving a variety of rigids built by Lawrence David. The vehicles will be used for both their interiors and insulation sectors. The decision was made to construct using the new DAF CF range, which was voted ‘International Truck of the Year 2018’ for its advancements in transport efficiency.

The 32 and 26 tonne rigid’s feature Armoursheet ’plus’ load bearing curtains. Static and dynamic tests were carried out back in 2011 by TUV NORD, in order to determine the load containing abilities of the curtains. The results surpassed the European load containment standards.

The Moffet Mounty Bracket at the rear enables a forklift to be carried on the vehicle, increasing efficiency by redu wait times between loads. On the nearside we see Astra ClearView low level passenger door windows to help improve direct vision by reducing the blind spot area.

Lawrence David’s exclusive track and valence features along with an alloy toolbox on the nearside of the rigid for enhanced stowage options whilst on the roads. Tools, straps and other loading equipment can be easily accessed without opening the rear of the vehicle.
