A warehousing and logistics company, that is award winning and pioneering in its sector, has made an appointment in its senior team to support its expanding transport operations.
Carlton Forest Group, which has sites in Worksop and in Barnsley, welcomes Martin Rees, from Sutton cum Lound, to the newly created post as Senior Transport Manager.
“I have had a thirty-year career in transport, distribution and logistics and a wide skill set in fleet management, logistics and warehousing,” said Martin. “I am very aware of transport and its influence within both the company and the country, and the part it plays in any business that has growth and development plans.”
Martin will assume responsibility for all elements of the current transport sector of the business, develop the transport arm of its third-party logistics sector and ensure that its excellent OTIF figures (99.7%) are maintained, even as the business continues to expand.
