Palletline, the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network, has further extended its product offering with the introduction of Half+.

Utilising one pallet space the Half+ service is for shipments of up to 1.8 metres tall and has a maximum weight of 500kg providing customers with value for money whilst at the same time allowing Palletline to retain its competitive edge.

Designed with the B2B sector in mind, the new versatile pallet size has been developed to meet the needs of retail customers and e-commerce brands and is ideal for use throughout regional and nationwide distribution centres.

The launch of the new service was initiated by Palletline’s commercial Steering Group, which is headed by Palletline board director Jonathan Edge, Managing Director of Edge Transport.

He commented:  “The introduction of the Half+ pallet results from extensive research amongst the member network and has been developed with their customers in mind.  It provides a flexible, efficient and cost-effective solution and demonstrates our continuing desire to continue to develop an innovative product service offering.”

The new pallet type offers multiple benefits including optimising warehouse racking and vehicle usage as well as providing a cost-effective solution for customers with a requirement for something larger than a half pallet.

Palletline’s Group Managing Director Graham Leitch said it is an exciting addition to Palletline’s product portfolio and one which further reinforces the company’s position as an industry trailblazer.

He commented: “Not only does our new Half+ product enable us to offer our members additional flexibility in terms of their offering to customers, it is also an ideal fit for our partnership with Amazon as we’re the only UK pallet network included in its Inbound Preferred Carrier Programme.”

The introduction of Half+ follows the launch earlier this year of Palleteyes, Palletline’s next generation scanning system and Photo on Delivery together offering levels of transparency and visibility unmatched in the industry.

Graham Leitch continued: “2024 has so far been an exciting year for Palletline with the development and implementation of a trio of cutting-edge innovations all designed to enhance our  market leading service to our members and their customers.”
