SsangYong Motor UK has announced a new partnership for its vehicle deliveries with the appointment of ECM (Vehicle Delivery Service) Ltd, which will become an integral part of the brand’s vehicle logistics operation at Avonmouth.

Commented Doug Lincoln, aftersales director of SsangYong Motor UK, “The new ECM service will increase our delivery capacity and help us deliver on our promises to the SsangYong dealer network and their customers, an imperative as the brand and its UK sales volumes grow.”

Said Allen Stuart, commercial director of ECM: “We are delighted to start 2019 by adding SsangYong to our customer portfolio. We are excited by the projected growth of the brand over the next three years, and look forward to supporting this by providing a high quality, on time and flexible delivery service to the UK dealers.

“This new partnership will introduce additional levels of innovation and technology to the SsangYong vehicle logistics supply chain. It will include increased system integration (via EDI), improved supply chain automation, and environmental benefits through the removal of paperwork by deploying ECM’s award winning Electronic Proof of Delivery App (ePOD).”

ECM is a UK market leader for new vehicle logistics. Established in 1979 and privately owned, it operates over 500 bespoke 11 car capacity transporters, and is projected to deliver 1.3 million new and used vehicles in the UK this year.
