South Wales-based Hicks Logistics has topped its 40th birthday celebrations by renewing its contract with UK Platforms, the powered access specialist which is part of the HSS Hire Group. The fiver-year contract is worth more than £30m.

Hicks will supply UK Platforms with a range of over 40 semi low-loaders and rigid beaver-tail vehicles to be used throughout UK Platforms national network of depots. UK Platforms provides powered equipment for facilitating work at height, and its range of lifts can raise workers safely to a height of 41 metres.

Hicks, which operates a fleet of over 80 vehicles from its five-acre site in Caldicot, South Wales, has seen consistent growth over the past four years It has a 11.3m turnover and offers a full range of logistics services, including general haulage, warehousing, pick and pack and, of course, pallet distribution.
