Saffron Waldon based logistics company Garrett Transport is supporting two of its major customers to deliver essential cleaning products to the front line of the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

Based in Little Walden, Essex, the company, which joined the award-winning Pallet-Track network last year, is working with Nitritex, part of the Ansell group and Tristel Solutions to help their essential PPE deliveries to the NHS supply chain.

Nitirtex is a manufacturer of cleanroom consumables and PPE safety products supplying them to the NHS on a regular basis, while Tristel Solutions Ltd is supplying the NHS with Bio-Clean high-level disinfection wipes they use to ensure all medical surfaces are cleaned effectively.

The products, JET and Tristel Fuse for surfaces are chlorine dioxide sporicidal disinfectants proven effective against the most resistant viruses in the medical field. Both are viricidal and effective against coronaviruses in contact times as short as one minute.

Garrett Transport has modified its procedures to safeguard both employees and customers’ health, and strictly follow the government guidelines for essential services. The business has recently taken delivery of personalised PPE, including face masks, which it is supplying to all of its staff.

Simon Garrett commented, “We need to keep Britain moving safely and compliantly during the current COVID-19 crisis, we are proud to regularly deliver the PPE bound for the NHS, and are happy to supply our staff with any personal PPE they require”.

“We would also like to offer our support and appreciation of all the other essential workers helping to keep everyone safe, from the glorious NHS, to care home workers and all the other support staff that are helping to keep Britain moving.”
