Logistics specialists Knowles Transport has supplemented its growing fleet even further following the recent purchase of 50 Volvo FH460 Turbo Compound vehicles – the largest single order in company history.

 

This substantial investment has been made by Knowles to support their continued expansion.

 

The vehicles will add to Knowles’ growing fleet and have been ordered in response to the increased growth in demand for their services as well as a part of their fleet replacement programme.

 

33 of the 50 of Knowles’ new Volvo vehicles will act as replacement vehicles and the additional 17 will be to augment growth.

 

The new vehicles are equipped with Volvo’s ‘I-Save’ technology, this incorporates Volvo’s turbo compound engine with the latest fuel saving package, combined they give class leading fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

 

The company’s new livery which was recently unveiled on its new trailer fleet will also be featured on all the new trucks.

 

Knowles’ most recent order closely follows their purchase of 26 vehicles and 85 trailers representing a substantial investment and were also purchased in order to assist the company in facilitating increased demand.

 

All vehicles on order will be fitted with forward and side facing cameras for increased safety.

 

Knowles operates on a five-year replacement policy and all its vehicles have been purchased alongside a full 5-year repair and maintenance contract where they will be serviced by the Volvo Truck and Bus, Ely.
