To enable transport managers across the country to take advantage of the information and guidance provided by its renowned Transport Manager conferences, even if they are unable to attend in person, Logistics UK will once again be holding a virtual version of the events, to take place on 10 November 2023.

First held during the height of the pandemic in 2020, Virtual Transport Manager will cater for those who cannot travel to an in-person event, whether due to location, time or business pressures. The virtual one-day conference will follow a similar format to the in-person events currently being held around the country and will provide the information and guidance on legislation which the industry-leading conferences are renowned for.

Kate Jennings, Logistics UK’s Director of Policy, said: “We already have over 1,500 bookings for this year’s Transport Manager conferences, but we appreciate some people are unable to attend in person for one reason or another. However, it is still important for transport managers to ensure they keep up to date with the latest compliance and regulatory information, and as with the in-person events, Virtual Transport Manager 2023 will provide all the briefing information they need.”

Logistics UK is delighted to have secured the involvement of the Traffic Commissioners for the whole series of events, both virtual and live, which will also include the Transport Manager calendar, a compliance update, an interview with Loveday Ryder, Chief Executive of the DVSA, and sessions on the latest regulatory updates, the Commercial Vehicles Workshop Rating Scheme, load security, alternative fuels, and a session by the Metropolitan Police Commercial Vehicle Unit. This year, the event series is sponsored by Brigade Electronics, BP, Weightmans and WTW.

This year’s Virtual Transport Manager event will take place online on 10 November, with in-person events already under way at venues around the country until 30 November 2023.  To find out more and to book a place, priced at £335 plus VAT for Logistics UK members and £435 plus VAT for non-members, please visit https://logistics.org.uk/transport-manager.
