Fifteen people have been found alive in the back of a lorry in Wiltshire after reports of “suspicious activity” were made about the HGV.

All of those found in the lorry are believed to be over the age of 16 and none are thought to be in serious condition. One person has been taken to hospital for checks whilst the remaining fourteen have been taken into custody.

Wiltshire Police closed the A350 at Kington Langley crossroads after being called by a member of the public before 8.30pm Wednesday (6 October). The road closure is expected to stay in place whilst the lorry is recovered.

A 50 year old man has since been arrested on suspicion of assisting with illegal entry and is currently in custody in Swindon.
