As part of the company’s on-going, long-term investment programme to enable it to continue to deliver the best customer service, Truck and Bus Wales and West have opened a state-of-the-art, new-build dealership at Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
The superb new facilities, which feature three 26 metre drive-through workshop bays and a 26 metre drive-through ATF and tachograph lane, are located on a 2.5 acre site adjacent to the A361 at: Unit 2, Leighton Business Park, Hargrove Lane, Wanstrow, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4FX. Opening hours are: Monday to Friday 7am to 11pm and Saturday 7am to 1 pm. The new onsite ATF is open for bookings for truck, bus and coach testing.
Truck and Bus Wales and West Managing Director Billy Nairn reports that the company has made a ‘substantial’ investment in the new dealership. “The new facility will replace the existing workshop at Gurney Slade and is part of a substantial investment programme to support truck, bus and coach customers and operators in Somerset as well as the Bath and West Wiltshire area.”
“The building is designed to be very energy efficient with extra insulation and clear roof panels to minimise dependence on artificial lighting,” explains Billy Nairn.
“Lighting for the whole site is via movement controlled LEDs. Office temperatures are maintained using air conditioning units. Water is sourced from a bore hole and drainage is via three-stage interceptors into levelling ponds. Therefore, all drainage is localised on site. So there is no risk of polluting the main water systems in the area,” he adds.
The new Truck and Bus Wales and West dealership at Shepton Mallet also offers the following additional services to customers and operators:
• Aluminium welding for body repairs.
• Tail-lift and ancillary equipment servicing and repairs.
