YDL, part of the APC Overnight network, has created a unique new vehicle for their fleet to honour this year’s Remembrance Day. The bespoke design is dedicated to the 2017 Poppy Appeal, taking the Royal British Legion’s symbol to the UK’s roads.

When the charity reached out to YDL for support, the Yorkshire-based courier company decided to use a tractor unit as their artistic canvas. The newly ordered vehicle was wrapped in striking poppy livery in honour of Remembrance Day.

The vehicle will soon be on the road, servicing YDL customers throughout Yorkshire and the North East, and making delivery journeys throughout the country.

The courier company, which has depots in York, Darlington and Newton Aycliffe, also made a considerable donation to this year’s Poppy Appeal. Members of the YDL team will be in attendance at the Poppy Appeal Dinner in November, to celebrate the charity’s work.

Paul McLaren, Managing Director at YDL, said:

“We are proud to be supporting all of those who served and continue to serve in the armed forces. It felt like a fitting dedication to display the iconic poppy in remembrance of those who have given so much for us.”

Paul continued: “There was great excitement when the vehicle was delivered to the Barton Hill depot today and it was clear that every single member of our team felt proud to be associated with a cause that means so much to so many people.”
