A new devolved government in Northern Ireland is a boost for the province’s businesses, says the RHA.

A deal to restore political institutions at Stormont has been struck after the power-sharing coalition collapsed three years ago.

The RHA’s policy manager for Northern Ireland, John Martin said the Association is ready to support the devolved government and calls on ministers to prioritise the logistics industry as Brexit could herald some big challenges for the region.

“The new administration has a great opportunity to end the stasis of the last three years and invest in our roads and infrastructure to keep goods moving efficiently as firms face up to new trading realities.

“We look forward to working with the ministers on getting the best deal for our members and the logistics sector as a whole.”
