Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been named Truck Manufacturer of the Year at the annual Commercial Fleet Awards, hosted last night (29 November) at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

To decide the winners, Commercial Fleet’s 15,000 readers are asked to rank their top three truck manufacturers. Editor-In-Chief Stephen Briers said: “Mercedes-Benz Trucks has enhanced its business offering for fleets by prioritising environmental, safety and efficiency concerns while maintaining its focus on customer service. It has introduced a number of innovative safety solutions which, combined with low operating costs and maximum uptime, have led to a strong performance this year. Fleets agreed by voting it their number one.”

Mike Belk, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, commented: “We’re delighted to have won this award. It’s reader-voted, so is a strong endorsement that truck operators can trust Mercedes-Benz trucks. Colleagues at our Milton Keynes and Barnsley locations, and within our nationwide Dealer Network, are all working incredibly hard, so it’s humbling that their efforts have been recognised.”

As well as winning the Truck Manufacturer of the Year trophy, Mercedes-Benz also secured no fewer than four nominations from the magazine’s readers for the Truck of the Year Award.
