Ryan Fisher of the Maidstone dealerpoint of MC Truck & Bus Ltd., the Southern England Dealer Group, has won the prestigious Jim Keyden award as Volvo Trucks’ Apprentice of the Year 2018.

The impressive trophy was presented to Ryan Fisher by Arne Knaben, Managing Director UK & Ireland at Volvo Group UK at the annual Apprentice Awards ceremony, held recently at Stephenson College in Coalville, Leicestershire. 

Arne Knaben also presented several other key prizes including this year’s Highest Academic Achiever Award, which was won by Jack Burt from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland Edinburgh, and the Highest Vocational Achiever Award, which was presented to Scott Laurie of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Scotland’s Glasgow East dealerpoint. 

The ‘Grafter’ Award was presented to winner Henrik Kallander of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London, Enfield, by award sponsor ‘Volvo Truck Driver’ magazine Editor, Matthew Eisenegger. 

The Volvo Apprentice Academy, described by Volvo Group Trucks’ UK & Ireland Managing Director, Arne Knaben as: “The best and most advanced truck manufacturers’ Apprentice Programme in the UK”, celebrates its twenty-third anniversary this year.
