Maritime Transport Limited (Maritime) is delighted to announce the opening of the very first transport depot at DP World London Gateway.
Situated on London’s doorstep and boasting six deep-water berths, DP World London Gateway’s capability to deal with the worlds largest container vessels means it will undoubtedly become a major player in the UK container industry. As such Maritime’s decision to open up there was an easy one to make:
“The decision to open at DP World London Gateway complements our network growth plans,” said Simon Smart, Managing Director – Container Transport. “The developments at London Gateway continue to impress and have added another UK port option for our customers. Naturally, as a multi-port operator we wanted to have a substantial presence at the dock which we have achieved with this centre, the first of its kind.”
Maritime’s depot puts them in a prime position to capitalise on the future growth of the port with their three-acre site able to house 60 trucks and trailers.
“We believe that the port will quickly become established as a key gateway for our customers with its fantastic location close to the City of London and surrounding areas,” Said Tom Williams, General Manager – Commercial. “With our operations teams and vehicles based on site, we are the first logistics operator to offer a true solution from London Gateway.”
