Leading truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK is supplying a total of 50 new MAN TGX XLX 26.480s to Heathrow-headquartered Saints Transport Limited.

The firm, which was founded in 1968, specialises in airfreight and has a fleet of 200 MAN vehicles, making it the UK’s largest privately owned airfreight haulier.

Company chairman and chief executive Piers Carroll said: “We operate an absolutely enormous fleet, especially when compared to our competitors. Our entire fleet is made up of only Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles, which means it comprises some 200 of the most modern, cutting edge and environmentally friendly vehicles on the road, as well as over 120 trailers.

“Our huge fleet not only encompasses practically every type of vehicle you could imagine but multiples of them. Anyone can promise they can do something, whether they actually have the fleet and capacity to uphold these promises, is obviously a whole different matter.

“The new MANs offer us peace of mind that we are operating the very latest technology and we can deliver on our promises because we have a reliable fleet.

“We enjoy repeat business with MAN because they offer cost effective solutions to our fleet requirements.”

Patrick Farbrace, MAN regional sales manager, added: “It is a pleasure to see so many new MAN trucks leading the fleet for such a prestigious company as Saints.

“We have had a longstanding relationship with them over the years and we respect their custom and pride ourselves on delivering the best solutions to meet the demands of their different and varied fleet requirements.”
