Harris MAXUS UK has further strengthened its rapidly growing dealer network with the launch of Lloyd MAXUS in Dumfries; a new franchise for Lloyd Ltd signalling an important boost for light commercial vehicle operators and businesses across south-west Scotland.
Lloyd MAXUS is the latest franchise appointment in an ambitious network expansion programme from Harris MAXUS UK that will see the marque strengthening its UK presence through carefully selected partnerships with experienced dealer groups. Strategically identified locations will ensure customers nationwide benefit from enhanced choice backed by localised support.
Lloyd MAXUS offers sales, service and parts for the full MAXUS range, with a commitment to delivering the ‘full MAXUS experience’; expert advice, tailored fleet solutions and outstanding aftersales support. Lloyd MAXUS is well located on Tinwald Downs Road, Heathhall, just off the A75. A large and fully equipped workshop benefits from 13 technicians, with three currently undergoing electric vehicle (EV) accreditation, supported by cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and dedicated, scalable charging infrastructure. A substantial stock of genuine MAXUS parts is already in place and ready to support customers.
Lloyd Ltd boasts a long-established nine-branch network throughout northern England and southern Scotland. The company was established in 1964 as a tractor dealer in Carlisle, since expanding into related markets including agriculture, construction, groundcare, materials handling and now light commercial vehicles – becoming a true one-stop machinery and transport partner for rural and business communities.
“Aftersales is the absolute cornerstone of our business,” said Stuart Dalton, Dealer Principal at Lloyd MAXUS. “Our customers depend on their equipment and vehicles for their livelihoods – we properly understand what uptime means. That’s why we’ve invested in skilled people, EV training and full parts support from day one. Whether it’s a van, a tractor or a compact excavator, Lloyd Ltd customers know we’ve got their back.”
Dalton pointed to Lloyd’s own use of the MAXUS product, “We run a MAXUS DELIVER 9 as a parts van,” he said, “which has already clocked up more than 50,000 miles in just six months without missing a beat. Our mobile technicians also use MAXUS vans out in the field, trouble-free. The fact we rely on them ourselves speaks volumes about the brand.
“Partnering with MAXUS complements our business perfectly,” he continued, “We’ve always evolved with our customers’ needs – starting with tractors, then moving into machinery and equipment supply – so expanding into light commercial vehicles is the next step. MAXUS leads the way in electric innovation, with a strong reputation for cutting-edge vehicles and first-class service support. Sustainability runs through everything we do, making MAXUS the ideal brand for us and for our customers. Our understanding of the business-to-business community also puts us in a great position to deliver the full MAXUS experience in a region that’s key to the growth of both businesses.”
