Reacting to the news that the UK has been granted a three-month Brexit extension, RHA chief executive, Richard Burnett said: “In the short term, businesses will be relieved that a damaging no-deal Brexit has been averted, but an extension is only prolonging the agony of uncertainty meaning that firms still cannot plan for the future.

“We need a deal and a transition period to keep the supply chain moving. Government must make best use of this extra time to get firms who import or export goods border-ready.”
