On this day in 1969, Richard King collected his first ever load – a forklift, and transported it from Leicester to Plymouth for the grand sum of £45.

With the support of some fantastic customers, the business has gone from strength to strength over the years and the loads have got bigger and heavier.

Today the business remains a family operation with Steve King as Managing Director, his wife Marie as Company Secretary: Sarah King as Quality Manager and her partner Jerry Williams as Chief Fleet Technician.

The services provided by Kings now covers all aspects or road haulage from vans to low loader, ADR & Section 5 goods and a specialist fleet of hiab vehicles.

It’s a proud day for all the team at Kings – a business achievement we are all delighted with. Long may it last.
