When Matthew Strange of M&L Strange Haulage wanted to buy a trailer for his expanding transport business, he decided to visit this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.

However, he was left with the distinct impression that some manufacturers were only willing to deal with bigger orders – rather than his requirement for a single curtainsider trailer.

He explained: “I felt that unless I was ordering a large number of trailers, they weren’t very interested…until I approached the Cartwright Group

“I was treated exactly the same whatever the size of my order. I was pleased to do business with them and am delighted with the build quality of the product which is exceptional,” he added.

Matthew established his family run business M&L Haulage with his wife Lucy in September 2015.

The business has really taken off over the past three years offering their customers haulage delivery, 24-hour storage and a self-unload and load services.

“We offer a totally flexible service and are experienced in most areas from fragile exhibitions to plant, wide or abnormal loads, fridges and everything in between,” commented Matthew.

In July this year M&L Strange Haulage renewed its forklift ticket for an RTITB nationally recognised accreditation provided by Le Strange Services. This allows the company to load and unload, freeing up their customers’ drivers and cutting down on waiting time.

“It’s all part of our commitment to deliver an efficient, cost effective service to our customers,” said Matthew. “We are delighted with our investment in this Cartwright trailer. We have worked with their engineers to build a trailer with safety in mind for the general public and the best load security for customer’s goods, so we can deliver safely and efficiently,” he added.

The Cartwright Group adopt a consultative approach with all their clients and prospects no matter how large or small. Their aim is to build and maintain long lasting business relations with their customers. This approach underpins the steady and healthy growth of the Cartwright Group.
