Kinaxia Logistics have announced their eleventh acquisition just months following their purchase of Manchester based AKW Global. The Gateshead company, Fresh Freight Group (“FFG”), marks the first North East based purchase, strengthening the Kinaxia Group’s geographical footprint alongside its: North West, Midlands, South, South East and East Anglian counterparts.
Kinaxia Logistics Director, Peter Fields, explained: “It should come as no surprise to the market that Kinaxia has broadened its reach to include the North East. The group strategy remains to acquire successful, professionally operated, service-focused, family-owned companies and our purchase of the Fresh Freight Group is further evidence of this”

Originally founded by Eamon Quigley, Fresh Freight started by delivering flowers from Holland to the UK and soon became one of the leading independent fresh produce hauliers in the North East. From there, led by Dominic Quigley, the business has successfully undertaken an epic diversification and now provides a full cross section of logistics services including temperature controlled, general transport, pallet network, warehousing, freight forwarding and other specialist services. With roots stretching back to the 1940’s FFG is a story of true entrepreneurialism and evolution.
FFG now employs around 135 staff, has a fleet of 75 vehicles and operates 100,000 sqft of warehousing and is a shareholder member of the Pallet Track network.
