Longs of Leeds has taken on another 25 SDC curtainsided trailers from Ryder as it celebrates a contract renewal with food manufacturer Symington’s.

Among the new trailers are a dozen with liveries featuring two of Symington’s most popular brands: Mug Shot and Naked Noodle.

Longs has worked for Symington’s for 10 years. The contract renewal sees Longs handle 12 loads a day for Symington’s, picking up from its Leeds warehouse (just one motorway junction from Longs’ base) and delivering to major retailers nationwide.

Symington’s Chief Executive John Power said: “Symington’s prides itself on delivering best in class service to all of its customers. Longs play a big part in this and we are delighted to have them alongside us, especially with our major brands Mug Shot and Naked Noodle displayed on their brand new trailers.”

Longs Director Andrew Long said: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Symington’s and to help maintain awareness of two of its best-known brands via the trailer liveries.

“Working with Ryder ensures we have peace of mind, allowing us to concentrate on delivering the best service we can to Symington’s.”

Last summer, Ryder supplied 50 DAF XF460 tractor units and 40 SDC curtainsiders to the business in Longs’ then-new livery.

John Murray, Ryder Sales & Marketing Director, said: “The contract renewal is great news for Longs and we’re delighted to be able to help our customer do their best for their customer.”
