Culina Group, the market leading provider of shared user FMCG Logistics, specialising in chilled and ambient food and drinks distribution, has made its first major refrigerated trailers order from Cartwright.

The majority of the refrigerated trailers are insulated box straight frame tri-axle specification with tail-lifts. The remainder of the order are without tail-lifts.

Ten of the trailers are liveried in UFIT signage supplied and fitted by AST signs for Culina Group’s major energy drinks customer.

The main bulk of the trailers are destined for the Muller Milks products contract and the remainder for general customer product distribution.

Culina Group particularly specified SAF Intradrum drum brake axles because of the product’s quality and also warranty benefits.

Mark Matkin, Culina Group Fleet Manager, commented: “We chose Cartwright for this substantial order because they were the only trailer manufacturer who could meet a very tight customer deadline.

”We have been working closely with Paul Burn, Lionel Curtis and his engineering team and the quality of Cartwright’s fridge trailers has substantially improved.”

Mark Matkin added: “Cartwright deserve a big pat on the back for accepting a very short deadline for delivery of these new trailers.

“I would also like to say well done to Carrier for their Vector 1550 fridge unit and Labcraft Lighting who supplied the internal lighting in the trailers and from a health and safety point of view this has gone down well with the drivers.”
