MAN Truck & Bus UK has appointed a new area aftersales manager to head up the department in the North East.

Paul Price, 50, from Darlington, brings with him a wealth of experience, with more than 34 years in the commercial vehicle industry and a lifetime of being, in his own words, a long-suffering supporter of Middlesbrough Football Club.

He joins MAN from Ringway, part of the Eurovia group, where he was divisional fleet and workshops manager and responsible for the profitability and service level of a fleet of approximately 400 vehicles, including highway maintenance vehicles on contract to local authorities.

Paul, a married father of four and grandfather of two, said: “I was drawn to MAN because they are a manufacturer of quality vehicles whose range is strengthening. I bring credibility and experience, having built up strong relationships with customers.

“I have both workshop and compliance management experience. The knowledge means I have experienced both good and bad aftersales service from both sides of the fence.

“I started my automotive career as a young apprentice and to now work for a quality, world renowned brand, is both exciting and a challenge I am looking forward to embarking on.”

Paul O’Cain, head of UK service, said: “Paul has extensive experience in operating vehicles successfully for profit whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and will be a valuable addition to our North East aftersales team.

“His enthusiasm and tenacity to work hard for his customers will ensure him every success when managing the aftersales territory. We are delighted to have Paul join the team and welcome him to the MAN family.”
