As Christmas approaches, the haulage industry in the UK really steps up a gear with its foot to the floor. Over the festive period, 130 million parcels are delivered just by Royal Mail, in addition to the huge increase in retail business all over the country, leading to a huge demand for road transport.
HGV drivers are often overlooked, but without their ceaseless work in the run up to Christmas, countless families throughout the UK wouldn’t be able to celebrate and enjoy the holiday.

All-in-all, 85% of everything we buy, eat and use is moved by a UK registered lorry, this contributes a whopping £75 billion to the UK economy each year.
