Transport Manager – Ashford, Kent

We are looking for a Transport Manager to join our team at Consort Frozen Foods, the largest independent distributor of Frozen Foods and Ice Cream in the South East, to be based at our Ashford Kent depot.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Have excellent people management skills.
• Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office – Outlook and Excel.
• Have a good use of intuition and problem solving skills for productive outcomes.
• Have a can do attitude
• Have the proven ability to maintain high standards of decision making in a fast-paced changeable environment.
• Have an understanding of Drivers’ Hours Regulations.
• Have proven experience of routing delivery vehicles in the most efficient manor.
• CPC qualification is essential, or relevant training will be given.
• Have a background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain (Ideally as a Transport Manager)
• Live within a commutable distance of Ashford Kent.
• Is a proven motivator & supporter within the business , a positive attitude is key.
