Maritime Group Limited has acquired Alconbury Truckstop as a going concern from the Heys Group Limited.
Following a review of its business portfolio, the Heys Group, who has owned the site for the last seven years, decided to sell the property earlier this year and accepted Maritime’s offer for the site.
The sale, for an undisclosed sum, was concluded on Wednesday 16th March. The business will be run as a separate entity to Maritime Group subsidiary, Maritime Transport.
“We are pleased to have reached a deal to buy Alconbury Truckstop,” said John Williams, Group Managing Director. “The site is ideally located on the A1(M) and represents a long-term strategic investment for the Group.”
