A new e-learning course in Warehousing Fundamentals offers those joining the industry a comprehensive introduction to the basics in just 8 sessions of 15 minutes each, with a questionnaire at the end of each session to prove competency and a certificate on completion that students can add to their CV.

The course, delivered by Logistics Learning Alliance in partnership with UKWA, is designed to appeal to individuals and organisations alike, says UKWA CEO Peter Ward. “E-learning is an increasingly popular route to training, particularly among young people and of course we are keen to attract fresh talent into the industry,” he explains. “At just two hours overall, this course can be integrated effectively into a company’s induction training too, it covers all the essentials required for working in a warehouse, and at just £75 + VAT represents extremely good value for money.”

Designed as an access level course with the potential to move on to a higher-level qualification, the Warehouse Fundamentals Bitesize programme can be completed independently, with a learning platform created by Upskill People e-learning.

Warehouse Fundamentals defines the key knowledge and competence needed for existing and entrance level warehouse operatives, with each session combining theory and application through best practice learning and case study.

The new course forms part of a comprehensive training programme offered by UKWA, which includes Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor CPC (Certificate of Professional Competency) courses, recognised across the sector as setting industry standards.
