A powerful channel for getting messages across to the right audience is being unlocked by the latest development from Spedian™, the specialist in lightweight reusable vehicle graphics.

Spediflex is a version of the company’s renowned reusable graphics Spedian SuperLite™ system that is specifically designed to be safely and effectively applied to up and over shutter doors at the rear of vehicles such as delivery vans.

Flexible enough to follow the sweeping motion of the door as it opens and closes, Spediflex displays an advertisement where it will most be noticed – right in front of the driver behind.

The ‘invisible’ graphics system requires no bolts, rivets, screws or aluminium or plastic frame to fix the advertising panel to the vehicle, and it leaves no damage to the substrate of the vehicle when removed.

As a result campaigns can be regularly refreshed or changed completely, making it ideal for fleet operators.  Once removed, graphics cab easily be rolled up and stored away to be used again later.

Lawrence Craig, CEO of Spedian, said: “The back of a vehicle is a powerful place to position an advertisement because it reaches so many people. The human mind is a wonderful thing and it takes in far more information than most of us realise.

“Whether they are aware of doing it or not, drivers and passengers following behind a vehicle displaying an advertisement on its rear door cannot help but notice it – the message gets through consciously or subconsciously.

“They are in effect a captive audience – the advertisement is right in front of them and, especially in slow-moving or stationary traffic, it will be hard to ignore. That’s why Spediflex is such a useful tool.

“It is a simple solution which is much more impactful than advertising on the side of a vehicle as well as being a fraction of the cost.  Indeed the facts speak for themselves.  If you take a van/HGV travelling at 55 mpg and a car travelling at 70 mph, there is a 15 mph engaging speed allowing the driver behind 18.6 seconds to view a vehicle.

“Spediflex therefore offers a highly attractive and extremely powerful proposition to operators for promotional offers or seasonal messaging.”

The system has the same high quality finish, durability and longevity of Spedian™ and Spedian SuperLite systems.

It can be used alongside another brainchild of Mr Craig, a predictive software called Roadvert that estimates the reach of an advertisement placed on a vehicle travelling in a specific geographic area.

This allows operators to better use their vehicles as a marketing tool and places a value on the vehicle as viable advertising space.”
