Cartwright Group has delivered the first specialist aircraft ground support vehicle following its acquisition of Emtek Services last year.

The vehicle is based on an Iveco Eurocargo 18 tonne chassis, the scissor lift vehicle is designed to lift cleaning crews to aircraft doors up to a height of 6 metres.

The vehicle was handed over to CCS Services at Manchester Airport to transport cleaning teams onto aircraft on the tarmac to clean the cabins during turnaround times between flights.

Its dry freight box and bridge was designed and manufactured at Cartwright’s 38 acre manufacturing facility in Altrincham, with the panels being made with the company’s new £1.8 million panel press.

Whilst this is the first vehicle to be delivered under the new Cartwright GSE banner, the company is looking forward to building on Emtek’s reputation for the manufacture and delivery of ground service equipment for airport service providers across the globe.

Mark Cartwright, Group Managing Director of Cartwright Group, said: “I am delighted that CCS Services has selected Cartwright GSE to supply it with a new aircraft GSE vehicle.

“This is an exciting new venture for Cartwright and a great fit with our pedigree of innovative engineering design and manufacturing.

“Cartwright GSE will play a significant role in our exporting strategy and expansion plans and continue to develop a reputation across the globe.”

Cartwright Group has an established reputation for providing customer-led solutions and prides itself on their longstanding reputation for engineering excellence. With an enviable client list in the UK, it already exports trailers to Chile, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Germany and Australia.
