O’Donovan Waste has continued with its commitment to operating at the highest possible standards by again achieving certification to the ISO 39001 Road Traffic Safety Management standard from business improvement and standards company, BSI. ISO 39001 sets out the minimum requirements for a Road Traffic Safety Management System that seeks to reduce the number of collisions and injuries from traffic accidents that happen each year. Already an exemplar haulier through achieving a huge number of prestigious accreditations and awards, O’Donovan is keen to maintain its ISO 39001 certification that further cements its huge focus on road safety.
To achieve the ISO 39001 certification, O’Donovan Waste’s safety management was reviewed across the business against an ISO 39001 checklist. Secondly, all site and operations were assessed to complete the formal checks required for certification.
The ISO 39001 certification concentrates on a management framework focused on enhancing all areas of road traffic safety. O’Donovan has set continuous road safety goals and objectives, aimed at improving the already high standards set, which is now reinforced by the attainment of the ISO 39001 certification since 2018.
