FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is delighted to announce another significant milestone, as Helsby & Longden become the 700th company to achieve FORS Silver accreditation.

Operating from its base in Runcorn, Helsby & Longden sends vehicles all over the UK to construction sites, and is one of the leading transport and distribution companies in the North-West of England.

Originally achieving its FORS Bronze accreditation in April 2017, Helsby & Longden is already looking to build on its FORS Silver accreditation and is aiming for FORS Gold. Having put its drivers through the Safe Urban Driving courses, the company has particularly appreciated the training opportunities that FORS offers, and the way that training has improved not only the capabilities of its drivers but also their appreciation for other road users.

Simon Keane, General Manager, Helsby & Longden: “Taking into account it was only four weeks after we received FORS Bronze accreditation, everyone at Helsby and Longden is elated with the outcome and I wish to thank all those involved for their hard work and commitment in making this possible.”

“As an operator, we feel FORS helps make our business safer, smarter and greener – everything we know our customers are looking for – by improving vehicle safety, driver awareness, management and operations. We plan to take on board all our learnings to date as we go for Gold.”

Sonia Hayward, FORS Operations Manager said “We are delighted to be marking yet another membership milestone by welcoming Helsby & Longden as the 700th company to achieve FORS Silver. The company has been incredibly proactive in achieving FORS Silver so quickly after gaining their Bronze accreditation and we wish them the best of luck as they aim for FORS Gold.”
