Christmas is here, so its time to have a think and say thanks to HGV drivers and logistics staff across the UK and Europe, who without their tireless work ethic and professionalism, families across the UK would not be able to enjoy Christmas.
Over the festive period, hundreds of millions of parcels are delivered across the Britain, add in the addition to increased sales in retail, the demand for expertly timed and scheduled road transport is through the roof, and without our glorious HGV drivers, nothing would mov as smoothly as it does.
From your Christmas lunch to your children’s toys, grandads jumper to crates of holiday beverages, all of these items will have been transported on the back of an Lorry at some point before reaching everyones homes.
So lets all take the time to wave, smile and say thanks to truck drivers when we see them. They do an excellent, in most cases under respected, role in our economy and they deserve more recognition and reward.
