Since 2014, Sureway Express Transport has been operating three Isuzu 7.5t rigids on its Palletforce contract within the Bristol BS postcode area. Such has been the success of these three initial Isuzus in their fleet over the past five years, the Avonmouth-based company has now replaced them with three like-for-like, brand-new Isuzu N75.190 (E) curtain sided rigids.

The new Isuzu rigids join a mixed fleet of 25 tractor units and rigids, together with 15 trailers, and are working on palletised distribution across the Bristol conurbation.

All three of the new Isuzu 7.5t rigids are from Isuzu’s successful ‘Driveaway’ range of pre-bodied trucks and feature the popular Easyshift semi-automatic transmission, together with curtain sided body and tuckaway tail lift. Specified with the distinctive orange Palletforce curtains, the Isuzus were purchased through Cumbria Truck Centre, who are part of the Carlisle-based WM Armstrong Group, also a founder Palletforce member company alongside Sureway Express Transport.

Sureway anticipates that the Isuzus will also operate for a five-year period within its fleet, covering approximately 50,000 km per annum on multi-drop palletised distribution.

Commenting on the three replacement truck deal, Rob Lloyd, founder and Managing Director of Sureway Express Transport said, “The initial three Isuzu rigids have been really reliable and productive over the last five years so it made perfect sense simply to repeat the order, when we were looking for replacement vehicles for this contract. Not only do they return good fuel consumption and provide us with market-leading payload in operation, but also the drivers find them really easy to drive on their difficult and busy urban routes in Bristol.”
