As part of its latest additional fleet requirement, specialist breakdown and vehicle recovery company Westbourne Motors has added a further six new Isuzu 7.5 tonne crew cab recovery vehicles to its 250 strong commercial vehicle fleet.

All six new Isuzus are now on the road and will be in the Westbourne fleet for a minimum of seven years covering over 100,000 km per annum.

“When we were looking for an alternative supplier for these latest 7.5 tonne fleet additions, we decided to specify Isuzu on the strength of their overall performance and reliability in our existing fleet, as our first two Isuzu 7.5 tonne twin decks, that we acquired back in 2015, are still working well for us on a daily basis,” said Richard Colburn, director, Westbourne Motors.

The new Isuzu N75.190 crew cab recovery vehicles were supplied to Westbourne Motors by Isuzu’s long-term southeast dealer, MC Truck and Bus and have been specified with Predator slide bed recovery bodies from specialist manufacturer JJ Conversions.

Richard continues, “During the vehicle acquisition programme, we received excellent service from MC Trucks who kept us fully informed throughout the complete build programme.”

Founded in 1967, Westbourne Motors currently operates through seven locations in the south of England, from Hickstead in West Sussex right across to Bristol and Avon in the south-west. The new Isuzus will be operating out of these seven locations under the company’s Westbourne Motoring Assistance brand, providing nationwide roadside breakdown services for its customers.

“The proven reliability and performance of the Isuzu 7.5 tonne range within the demanding roadside recovery environment is second to none and it’s good to see that Westbourne are now expanding its fleet based around the Isuzu marque at this GVW,” said Lee Tansley, national fleet sales manager, Isuzu Truck UK.
