MV Commercial has supplied Bishop’s Stortford-based Maclin Pumps with a new DAF CF450 6×2 Jet-Vac Combination Unit within just two weeks of the order being placed. This enabled the operator to quickly respond to growing customer demand.

The new 26-tonne vehicle features a Clayton Vallely body with a 3,200-gallon vacuum tanker capacity, with the tank split 50/50 between clean water and a debris compartment. The latest addition will be used across the firm’s tanker and drainage division to remove wastewater and clean oil interceptors for both industry and domestic customers.

Mark Robson, Director, Maclin Pumps, says: “We are witnessing a significant increase in demand for the service we provide and that necessitated adding a new vehicle to the fleet. Manufacturers were quoting lead times of at least 12 months, but MV Commercial was able to offer us the exact spec almost immediately.”

MV Commercial provided the truck from its Ready to Go fleet – a series of specialist vehicles designed to anticipate upcoming market trends and give operators quality equipment in rapid time.

“Safety is of paramount importance to us, so we also needed a truck we could be confident would perform well both when working in busy areas around London and on customer sites,” Robson adds.

The truck comes with electrically heated and operated mirrors for optimal visibility and a lower window in the passenger door to provide a clear view of other road users on busy urban streets.

Established in Sussex in 1973, Maclin Pumps provides a wide variety of specialist waste pumping services to the public and private sectors across the UK.
