Milton Keynes based pallet delivery firm takes first MAN TGM after Trucks to Go campaign impresses.

Conquest customer, 1st Class Transport, has ordered its first MAN vehicle, an MAN TGM 18.250BL LX Cab sleeper, to become part of the firm’s expanding fleet.

The vehicle, provided through MAN’s Trucks to Go initiative, is a replacement vehicle to support 1st Class Transport’s fleet modernisation. It will be operating throughout Milton Keynes, Bedford and the surrounding areas.

Robert Caen, managing director, said: “We brought in the MAN TGM as an addition to our fleet and to help with our increasing workload.

“At the time of purchase, MAN was offering very competitive prices through Trucks to Go and we have taken the vehicle over a two year rental.

“I have heard very positive feedback about the reliability, efficiency and quality of MAN trucks and it was the right time to add one to our fleet.

“Our local MAN dealer, Ring Road Garage, is located just eight miles down the road and the order to delivery time was just two weeks including our livery.

“We opted for the Trucks to Go rental deal as it enabled us to acquire a ready-built truck without the standard factory build lead times. The decision to take the full Gold Repair and Maintenance contract means the risk of unexpected repair costs is reduced and our compliance is increased.

“We chose the TGM in particular due to being offered a complete package thus giving ourselves peace of mind in terms of servicing, tyres and fuel efficiency.

“The excellent reputation and image fits with our company’s beliefs and we will certainly be looking at the possibility of more MANs to our fleet in the future.”

MAN sales executive Scott Munton secured the deal. He said: “With MAN Trucks to Go, we offer our customers an extensive stock of ready new vehicles. Most modern transport solutions are available, from the construction, heavy-duty transport, municipal, long-haul and distribution transport sectors.

“The competitive deal, Repair and Maintenance contract and warranty helped seal the deal with the company and we hope to be able to do business again in the near future.“

MAN Trucks to Go scheme (TTG) significantly reduces lead times for customers and cuts the need to wait for a factory build slot for their vehicle.
