Formerly known as the RHA Compliance Conference, Thursday 7 September will see Road Haulage Association present its Autumn Conference at the home of Midlands Cricket, the Edgbaston Stadium.

Although the event has a new title, the key industry issues of compliance, enforcement and safety will still be the hot topics for discussion and are, perhaps, more important than ever.

The RHA Autumn Conference provides the perfect opportunity for haulage operators (RHA members and non-members) to keep one step ahead of the latest changes, trends and product offerings that have a direct impact on their business. Aimed at all managers, directors and owners who have direct responsibility for compliance in their business, this is now regarded as the industry’s key informative event.

The Conference will deliver a full and varied line-up of speakers including DVSA Head of Enforcement Policy Gordon McDonald, employment tax expert Alastair Kendrick, and Jonathan Backhouse of solicitors Backhouse Jones.

Sponsors include Goodyear tyres and leading industry telematics experts, Microlise.

“For today’s operator, there is no alternative to compliance,” said RHA chief executive Richard Burnett. “Efficient, safe and legal operation is crucial. There can be no half measures. But it needs to be managed effectively and everyone, regardless of company size, must acknowledge that they have to play their part. One lapse, however small, can put an operators’ licence at risk”.

Tickets are selling fast for this year’s RHA ‘don’t miss’ event – so make sure you book your place now.
