25 year old, Northern Irish driver, Maurice Robinson (Mo), who is accused over the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants discovered dead in the back of the trailer in Essex, has pleaded guilty to plotting to assist in illegal immigration.
Mo Robinson was allegedly part of a global smuggling ring and was charged with the manslaughter of a group those found dead at the industrial state in Essex on 23 October.
Mo appeared at the Old Baily via video link from Belmarsh prison for a plea hearing, sources confirmed. Mo admitted conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration between 1 May last year and 24 October 2019. Criminal property, namely cash, were also admitted.
