A 33-year old has pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court to two accounts of causing death by dangerous driving and five accounts of causing serious injury after using his phone at the wheel.

James Majury is accused of using apps whilst driving such as Facebook, Sky Sports and Hustle Castle from when he set off, until 45 minutes into his journey when the crash took place.

A minibus from Pontville School, a special educational needs school in Ormskirk, was one of the vehicles involved in the collision on the M58 at Bickerstaffem Lancashire on 8 January 2019.

Joe Cairns, 14, from Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, and staff member Anne Kerr, 50, from Southport died from their injuries.
