As part of a substantial £1 million investment in its Swindon site, and in partnership with Renault Trucks, Sparks Commercial Services Limited, has announced the launch of its first Used Truck Centre.

Following its acquisition of the Swindon site and purchase of adjoining land in 2015, Sparks’ total refurbishment of the dealership is complete, featuring a new, state-of-the-art drive-through workshop, and the introduction of used trucks as well as LCV provides operators with an even greater choice from the Renault Trucks’ range.

Sparks Swindon will sell all used models from 2.8 up to 44-tonnes with 10-15 vehicles in stock at any one time, as well as instant access to Renault Trucks’ nationwide stock and a smaller selection will be available from its Portsmouth site.

Director, Julie Spark says: “This exciting investment and development in our Swindon dealership allows us to significantly widen the choice of products and services on offer to both existing and new customers.”

Sparks Commercials has also recruited Lee Murrell, a used truck specialist, to launch and grow the business. As Julie Spark explains, “Lee has been involved in retailing used vehicles for over 17 years and has a wealth of experience in finding and delivering the ideal used vehicle for operators. His experience is an invaluable asset to develop our used truck offering which includes customised financial solutions plus award winning aftermarket support including repair and maintenance contracts, extended opening hours and MOT preparation.”

All used vehicles will be evaluated and graded using a three-tier system that is backed by Renault Trucks as well as a 96-point checklist and a minimum six months driveline warranty or MBI, fully serviced and prepared by Renault Trucks, 24/7 roadside assistance, unlimited mileage warranty options, repair & maintenance options, as well as finance and insurance packages.

As Julie Spark explains, “This all provides the operators with confidence, greater transparency and clear information on vehicle specifications and their origin,”

Julie concludes: “Sparks has expanded rapidly in the last few years, mainly due to our successful business partnership with Renault Trucks UK and we are very proud to unveil our new venture into the used truck market for the first time. I am also delighted to announce further planned investment for 2018 in our Swindon site as we will be launching a new ATF MOT lane and extending our opening still further to 24 hours.”
