Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle Dealer group, Rygor Commercials, is full steam ahead with its Truck and Van dedication plans at the company’s Heathrow site.

The Dealer currently offers sales, parts and maintenance of both Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Mercedes-Benz Vans at its Heathrow site off Stanwell Road. In light of the current health pandemic, the team at site is still supporting customers, with its aftersales staff operational from the branch and its sales staff currently working remotely to continue to assist customers.

The Dealer group has had plans in place for a while to offer an enhanced service to customers, by providing a more streamlined service level at its Heathrow branch, through Van and Truck dedication.

Sean Joyce, service manager at Rygor Heathrow, said: “Providing the highest levels of customer service is always our mission at Rygor, and creating Truck and Van dedication for our Heathrow customers was part of our 2020 business strategy. We wanted to be able to provide a dedicated dealership which offered Truck customers the truck and trailer parking and easy access that they require, especially in such a busy area of the country. We are delighted that we are progressing our plans to open a new, circa 30,000sq ft Rygor Heathrow Truck site at The Camgate Centre in Stanwell.

“We are all very excited about the new Truck site and the opportunities it will bring for both our Truck and our Van customers, as well as our team. It is an opportunity to tailor our processes to suit the needs more specifically of both our Truck and Van customers at separate sites. The new Truck site will be conveniently located just a mile down the road from our existing Heathrow branch, which will in turn become our Rygor Heathrow Van site. Furthermore, it is only 3.5miles from the M25 and less than 5miles from the M4.  The large site will offer the space for truck and trailer manoeuvrability with a significant amount of parking available for trucks and trailers as well. We intend for the site’s workshop to be fitted with full vehicle test preparation equipment, with a minimum of 16 truck bays and 2 pits, with more workshop space and booking slot availability to promote the uptime of trucks. This site will also be able to offer out of hours maintenance and repair of trucks so our customers can get their vehicles maintained at a time convenient to them and their business.

“Although the current health pandemic is causing a delay to plans, we are delighted that planning permission has now been agreed and contracts signed. Of course, none of us know what the future holds, but we look forward to being able to open our new site, once the current health situation starts to improve. Rygor Heathrow has always been a very busy operation with a large team of people who work hard to serve all our customers. This opportunity presents an exciting chance for the whole team and our business to expand and deliver even more of what our customers require – exemplary service. This new site will give us a great platform to build on the fantastic relationships we have with all our existing customers as well as welcoming new ones to Rygor. In the meantime, we continue to assist both our Van and Truck customers at our current Heathrow site as we are fully open and here to support the transport industry,” Sean added.

Mike Belk, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, said: “AGS is a fantastic addition to our workshop network due to open for business at a flagship £6-million development which is currently under construction on a two-acre site even closer to Heathrow”
Wonder if that figured in Ryvor’s 2020 business plan…
