TruckEast, an award-winning Scania dealer group, is investing over £5 million into a new purpose-built truck dealership in Suffolk.
With planning approved the project can now get underway for a flagship site that will see the privately-run business relocate its head office. The new 3.7 acre plot is ideally located for local operators right off junction 47a on the A14 and only 5 miles from the company’s current location.
The proposed new development will offer a full range of all makes servicing, repairs and maintenance alongside a comprehensive bodyshop which will be housed in eight thirty-metre bays. Designed in accordance with Scania’s global dealership principals the state-of-the-art facilities will also include an ATF lane, parts department, offices, staff welfare, meeting rooms and extensive secure parking. Being purpose-built, the premises will have a full environmental management plan in place to maximise future sustainability.
After half a century at its current location in Stowmarket, the build represents a whole new chapter for the Scania dealer group.
