FleetCheck has adopted Hope for Tomorrow as its official company charity and is planning a series of fundraising initiatives for 2020.
The fleet management software specialist, based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, examined a range of organisations proposed by the company’s staff before making a final decision.
Hope for Tomorrow specialises in bringing cancer care to patients through its mobile cancer care units and support vehicles. In 2018, it treated more than 14,000 people.
Peter Golding, managing director, said: “We felt a real resonance with Hope for Tomorrow for a number of reasons. This is a charity based near to us in Tetbury that we can help not just by fundraising but on a practical level through its fleet.
“Perhaps most importantly though, almost no-one has lived a life untouched by cancer and certainly people working at FleetCheck have had family, friends and neighbours supported by Hope for Tomorrow. It just feels right.”
Kelly Caple, fundraising officer at Hope for Tomorrow, said: “We are heavily reliant on those who choose to fundraise for us, so forming corporate partnerships of this kind is important for us as an organisation. It’s very pleasing to become FleetCheck’s official charity and we look forward to working with the team there.”
Peter added: “We in the process of putting together a fundraising programme for 2020 that will involve our staff and customers. There’s a sense of excitement here about the contribution that we can make to supporting the charity in the future.”
